Five aspects of emotional intelligence definition:Emotional intelligence consists of five aspects: self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, empathy, and emotion recognition.

Self-Awareness

Individuals are able to become aware of their feelings and body signals, and to recognize and differentiate their emotions. For example, perceiving underlying fear from the surface emotion of anger.

Self-Regulation

Individuals have the ability to manage and regulate their emotions, especially negative emotions. This includes coping with situations such as stress, anxiety and frustration and maintaining emotional stability and balance.

Social Skills

Individuals have the ability to get along well with others and to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. This includes communication skills, cooperation and conflict resolution.

Empathy

An individual's ability to understand and feel the emotions of others and see things from their perspective. This helps to build good interpersonal relationships and promotes cooperation and understanding.

Emotion Recognition

Individuals are able to recognize the emotions of others and understand how they feel. This is essential for effective communication and problem solving.
