Why use makeup remover cotton for makeup removal
Why use makeup remover cotton for makeup removal? The main reasons for using makeup remover cotton are as follows.
1. The use of cotton can control the amount of toner, effectively preventing the loss of nutrients caused by the contact between the toner and the skin of the hands.
2. Rubbing cotton on your face can have a slight exfoliating effect.
3. Cotton pads spread more evenly on the skin and are more easily absorbed than hand application.
Do I have to use cotton pads to remove my makeup?
When using Makeup Remover and Eye & Lip Makeup Remover, always use a makeup remover cotton pad. To remove makeup, soak a cotton pad in the makeup remover and gently wipe your face until there is no color on the pad (the amount of makeup remover must be enough to minimize skin shedding). To remove makeup, you need to apply a wet cotton pad to your eyes, leave it on for about 30 seconds, and then gently wipe it off.
After cleansing, pour the toner onto a cotton pad and gently wipe in the direction of the skin texture and pore growth, this creates a secondary cleansing and softening effect on the keratin, which helps to absorb it better in subsequent skincare treatments. This is the same method of secondary cleansing I mentioned earlier using toner. I usually start with a secondary cleanse and then replenish with water.
It doesn't mean that all lotions should be coated with cotton pads. Generally, cotton pads can be used when using lotions with a thinner texture, such as lotions like ipsa and daike, which take care of small areas like the nose and corners of the mouth. However, for thicker lotions, such as Clinique butter, it is recommended to apply them by hand as it feels like they are absorbed by the cotton pads.
When it comes to moisturizing and soothing, wet compresses usually come to mind. To apply a wet compress, use thick or removable cotton pads, soak the pads directly in toner and apply to the face for three to five minutes.
You can choose from different types of makeup pads for removing makeup and wet application of paper masks. For removing makeup, crimped makeup pads are better, while for wet application, removable pads are better.
