Mental health disorders list 10 types of mental disorders
Mental illness, also known as mental disorders, is a general term for a large category of diseases, mainly caused by various biological, psychological, and social environmental factors that disrupt brain function, leading to varying degrees of cognitive, emotional, volitional, and behavioral disorders in mental activities. There are 10 types of mental disorders, but not 14.
1. Organic mental disorders: including mental disorders caused by Alzheimer's disease, cerebrovascular disease, other brain diseases, and physical illnesses;
2. Mental disorders caused by psychoactive substances or non addictive substances: including dependency syndrome, withdrawal syndrome, forgetfulness syndrome, consciousness disorders, hallucinations, delusions, food induced mental disorders, etc;
3. Schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders: including paranoid schizophrenia, simple schizophrenia, post schizophrenia depression, transient psychosis, peripheral psychosis, etc;
4. Mood disorders: Mood disorders, also known as affective disorders, refer to patients experiencing prolonged periods of sadness or intermittent emotional highs. Common mood disorders include manic episodes, bipolar disorder, depressive episodes, and persistent mood disorders;
5. Hysteria, stress-related disorders, neurosis: including hysterical amnesia, hysterical wandering, hysterical psychosis, hysterical somatic disorders, acute stress disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, adaptation disorders, phobias, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc;
6. Psychological factors related physiological disorders: including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, insomnia, hypersomnia, sleep wake rhythm disorders, decreased libido, vaginal spasms, etc;
7. Personality disorders, habit and impulse control disorders, and sexual psychological disorders: including paranoid personality disorder, schizoid personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, pathological gambling, trichotillomania, fetishism, and paraphimosis;
8. Mental retardation and psychological developmental disorders in childhood and adolescence, including mild, moderate, and severe mental retardation, expressive language disorders, receptive language disorders, specific reading disorders, childhood autism, etc;
