What are the mental health​

Mental health refers to a good state of mind, emotions, and consciousness in a person, including normal intellectual development, stable and optimistic emotions, strong willpower, standardized and coordinated behavior, abundant energy, strong adaptability, the ability to adapt to the environment, the ability to cope with daily life and work pressure calmly, maintaining abundant energy regularly, being willing to take responsibility, coordinating interpersonal relationships, and having a psychological age consistent with physiological age.

The official definition of health given by the World Health Organization is "a condition in which all three aspects of physiology, psychology, and social adaptation are good, not just the absence of illness or physical fitness". Therefore, health not only includes physical strength, but also includes a normal mentality.

So mental health is particularly important. If the body is weak or suffers from certain diseases, but the patient has a normal mentality and can handle it correctly, coupled with active exercise and scientific care, the body can gradually recover. If there are psychological disorders and one is lethargic all day long, even a strong body may develop pathological changes.

In daily life, we should not only focus on physical health, but also pay attention to mental health. If we feel that we have psychological problems, we can go to the psychological counseling department for treatment and undergo mental health tests, such as the Symptom Checklist and Mental Health Diagnostic Test. If any abnormalities occur, we should actively intervene.
