How do you measure for a bra
How do you measure for a bra?Measuring your bra size is a simple but important process to ensure you choose the right bra. Here are the detailed measurement steps.
Measurement of the upper bust
Tilt the body at 45 degrees, hold a flexible measuring tape in your right hand and use your left hand to gesture, using the back of your hand to support the breast to the desired position. Then, wrap the flexible measuring tape around the nipple, measure the size of 1/2 upper bust and multiply it by 2 to get the size of the upper bust. If there is sagging of the breast, gently support the breast to take the measurement.
Measurement of the lower bust
Stand upright with the flexible measuring tape pressed firmly against the base of the breasts. Measure horizontally around the chest once.
Bra size calculation
Determine the underbust
Measurement, which is the size of the bra. For example, if the underbust measurement is 74, the bra size is 75.
Determine the cup size
upper bust size minus lower bust size. For example, if the upper bust is 86 and the lower bust is 74, then 86-74=12cm, and 12cm corresponds to a B-cup.
The importance of choosing the right bra size
A bra size that is too small
will cause the underwire to compress the fat around the edges of the breasts, causing the middle of the breasts to be compressed into two sections, affecting the overall shape of the breasts. It will also feel uncomfortable when worn.
A bra that is too large
may look looser, but it cannot provide effective support and protection. Instead, it may cause the fat in the breasts to shift to the sides.
A bra that fits perfectly
is very comfortable to wear and provides good breast protection when the circumference of the bra matches the shape of the breasts.
