For people with hypertension, Hatha Yoga can help lower blood pressure; for people with anxiety disorders, Hatha Yoga can relieve stress and tension.

In order to assess the therapeutic effects of Hatha Yoga for specific conditions, blood pressure monitoring, heart rate variability analysis, etc. may be required. For hypertension, non-pharmacological treatments such as lifestyle interventions and aerobic exercise may be used; for anxiety disorders, cognitive-behavioral therapy or psychosocial supportive therapy is recommended.
